LC Project - Welcoming Woodland Garden
At first glance, the worn footpath seems to be the main problem, but there is a larger design issue.
Planting more pachysandra creates a cleaner appearance, but the experience is highly linear: instead of appreciating the stonework and woodlands, the bright, uniform planting draws the eye up the entire walkway to the distant portico - just like the footpath does.

Creating a Cohesive Entrance
Subtle architectural changes and coordinated planting reinforce the character of the home, creating an entrance that feels intentional and consistent with the existing stonework and architecture.

existing condition - white house ad dark driveway dominate the entrance view
Paint and tall planters establish rhythm while connecting the entry to the surrounding landscape.
Repeating the curves of the existing stone walls reinforces the architecture and anticipates the new walkway design.
Transplanted pachysandra softens the transition and enhances the lush woodland character.
