Our design creates a bold, modern townhouse garden that uses color, texture, and structure to maximize the feeling of space without sacraficing its intended purpose. It is framed by a corten steel planter which helps define individual spaces while unifying them into a fluid design. The Space is enhanced by a sophisticated and restrained plant pallette that will thrive all year and offer delightful blooms and berries when they are most needed. The red-twigged screens are the bold feature that unifies the design and defines the space.

The Screens

These bespoke features are created from red-twigged dogwood and slender branches of plantation-grown teak dyed to match. The strong, well defined palette and the unified, functional design will create a unique space that welcomes you all year long.

Theer visual excitement create rhythm that define the spaces. Their color and form create a statement but their transparent nature makes sure they don’t shout.

The screens create a strong rhythm on the south facing wall. ‘Little Gem’ Southern Magnolia is espaliered along the wall to best enjoy its southern exposure. The larger shiny leaves compliment the Skimmia japonica.

The corten steel planter surrounds the garden, creating structure and unity with its deep warm tones.

As the cedar fence weathers, the palette retains its vibrancy. The practical spaces, unique textures, and design unity create a space that excites you and feels like home.
